Our flight home to Sydney had an eight hour stopover in Haikou. We had time to go into the city and have a stroll around the old soto porticos (covered walkways) streets. The buildings here are from the colonial times in portuguese or french style. The main streets has been blocked off to be a pedestrian walkway.
